Limpopo MEC for Social Development, Mapula Mokaba-Phukwana, was scheduled to visit Modimolle on Friday 11 May.
Mokaba-Phukwana is on a whistle-stop tour of all districts across the province, engaging departmental staff in order to enhance their capacity.
In the Waterberg the employee engagement roadshow would take place on Friday 11 May at the district offices in Modimolle.
The MEC was expected to deliver 100 computers and two vehicles to strengthen the capacity of the district offices.
The department has undertaken to host the MEC’s meeting and engagement with the employees, in a form of a roadshow, where employees will have the opportunity to engage with her.
The MEC’s spokesperson, Joel Seabi, said the initiative comes against the backdrop of various challenges relating to the capacity of the districts.
He said the objective was to improve employees’ daily work and ensure improved service delivery, as per the specifications of the departmental budget speech.
