The Bela-Bela Local Municipality was scheduled to host a career exhibition at the multi-purpose centre on Friday 18 May.
The event was targeted at Grade 12 learners from high schools, and those who matriculated but were unemployed.
Representatives from various learning and working institutions in the private and public sector were lined up to preside over the event, and to share information on career opportunities.
Information was also expected to be shared in terms of bursary and job opportunities.
Bela-Bela municipal spokesperson, Kabelo Mosito said Mayor Jeremiah Ngobeni and his municipality’s managers and officials, were scheduled to attend the exhibition.
The University of Limpopo, Waterberg FET, Tshwane University of Technology, SANDF, SAPS, and a banking institution would share information with the learners and school-leavers.
A former learner at Maope Secondary School, Kagiso Thobejane, said she welcomed the idea of the career expo in her hometown, saying it will benefit people like her who are looking into furthering their studies.
